Training for shelter and foster dogs

One of Helping Idaho Dogs primary goals is to keep dogs out of shelters. In keeping with that goal we offer our dog-training service to all dogs who are:
  • currently housed and in the care of a local shelter,
  • or rescue group housed in foster care.

Every dog will receive free training!

Requisites:

  • All dogs must be accompanied by a shelter volunteer or foster parent.
  • All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations.

Please contact us for information about registration.

Shelter Volunteer Assistance Program

Our dogs’ best advocates are the people in the canine industry who care for no-longer wanted or displaced dogs. It is part of our mission to bring educational opportunities to you.

If you work at a qualifying shelter, you may be eligible for tuition assistance or decreased enrollment fees for our seminars and workshops. For further information please contact dogs@helpingidahodogs.org or call us at 208-473-8313.
